Good, but I know there will be a part three and ain't nobody got time to be waiting two & three damn years for it. This should've been wrapped up seeing as though how LONG it takes for Ivory to write a book.

Not The Same Quality As Part 1

This was a "dark" read. It did not have the same good feeling as book 1. There was a lot of unnecessary fluff in the book, such as all the situations with Mia and Nona. Their characters detract from what the fans love about the book. I found myself skipping many pages that detailed Mia and Nona's story-lines. Also, it was disappointing that the author chose to go with the silliness and cliche nature of most urban stories like including kidnapping, family members having babies behind each other's backs, family relations other than what was originally presented, etc. The fans love this story because of the love stories. This series was to be used as the standard that urban authors should reach for. There was no need to "dumb down" the book by going on the level of many of the other stories. This series was different initially. Book three would be banging if the focus is the hurt and pain with Ty and Nice's relationship. Even better, would be a focus on what it takes for Ty to win Nice back. I hope Ty is taken all the way out of her comfort zone and given super realistic reasons for her past. There was too much information that lacked fire. Background information is fine, but it felt disconnected. I hope the love stories of the couples are the focus on book three and not typical urban book elements that everyone else includes. The title is "A Hood Love Story" not A Hood Drama. I hope the author tones down all the drama and zeros in on the emotion to make us feel the couples again. The book was just alright, nowhere near the same quality as part 1.

Long and drawn out for no good reason...

Where do I begin...I was so in love with book 1 and could not wait for book 2, only to wait 2 years for the book to be lackluster, drawn out and very incohesive. It seems the author was throwing ideas against the wall to see what would stick. There were sooo many things mentioned in the story that could've been left out and a lot things that I was eager to see her expand on from book 1 and she barely touched the surface. I can honestly say I'm not interested in book 3, after over 400 pages of mumbo jumbo with horrible editing and $9 later, I'll pass.
