First thing I look up in this book is WRONG

To make a long story short, I have a very strong interest in real-life ghost stories. I was looking up the one with Telly Savalas and this writer has it all screwed up (I'm comparing this version with an actual interview with Telly Savalas and numerous other accounts).
First, he wasn't on a drive from his cousin's house, he had been on a date, dropped her off and ran out of gas near a White Castle restaurant. Secondly, the biggest error, it WAS NOT Harry Agannis who gave him the lift .... the driver had dropped the name "Harry Agannis" during their encounter. ... In short, out of the blue the driver says "I know Harry Agannis" ... Savalas thought this was strange for the driver to say that out of the blue. The next day, Savalas sees in the paper that Harry Agannis of the Boston Red Sox had died. He thought that was very strange and then he remembers the driver had given him his name, phone number etc. so Savalas could pay him back the money he lent him for gas. He called, talks to the wife and discovers it was her husband who had given him the lift. One problem, he had DIED three years or so earlier. Savalas describes what he was wearing .... it was what he was buried in, he shows her the paper with name, address etc. on it and it matches her late husband's handwriting. That, in a nutshell is the story. If you want to hear Telly Savalas tell it in his own words, search YouTube for "Telly Savalas helped by a ghost" ... One of these versions is wrong, and I choose to believe the version from Telly Savalas himself.
