Very much enjoyed this book

Very much enjoyed this book! Read it so fast, I devoured it. Fans of the show will find this to be a fantastic trip down memory lane, while other, more critical readers will delight in learning the innerworkings and labored diligence from everyone involved that made The Daily Show with Jon Stewart come off effortlessly every night for 16 years. There were many laugh out loud moments, and yet I can sense the painstaking struggle that took place behind the scenes to make the show as true to the intentions in which it ultimately evolved. This book portrays the popular show as its own life force that organically manifested into the consummation warranting critical acclaim, all the awards and accolades, and as Jon says about his early trials and tribulations, the same is true of the indelible impact The Daily Show with Jon Stewart ultimately has on America,"Yeah. That will leave a mark."

A MUST-READ FOR FANS OF THE DAILY SHOW!

The Daily Show (The Book): An Oral History as Told by Jon Stewart, the Correspondents, Staff and Guests by Chris Smith with foreword by Jon Stewart himself is a detailed insider’s look at the working of The Daily Show during Jon Stewart’s long stint of 16 years at the helm between 1999 and 2015. Until he arrived, The Daily Show was an ordinary show with ordinary rating but Jon Stewart transformed it in his own peerless ways with the help of people like Steve Carell, Samantha Bee and Stephen Colbert.
Many viewers of The Daily Show With Jon Stewart will find great delight in knowing that the book recaps some memorable moments as well as some forgettable incidents that took place in and off the show. Though written as a tribute, it is a no-holds-barred book capturing both the good and the bad. How far the incidents are watered down is not known but the book also discussed the spats, angers, misunderstandings that Jon Stewart had with the staffers and guests. There are some funny and light-hearted stories as well.
The twenty-one chapters of the book are carefully arranged, and readers who are familiar with the show and the people involved will find much delight in it. It has to be pointed out that The Daily Show With Jon Stewart played an influential role swaying peoples’ way of life to a great extent.
